Lisa Ann is an expert in training puppies, as well as adult dogs to be reliably obedient and have good manners. She also specializes in helping dogs with anxiety or fear-based issues. In addition, having a background in early childhood education has made her especially well equipped to work with children and their dogs.

Lisa Ann’s approach takes into consideration each puppy, adolescent and adult dog is different.  She has a unique gift for understanding the subtleties of canine body language. This allows her to quickly gain a dog’s trust, connect with a dog in a way that is appropriately suited for its personality and temperament, and to address each dog’s individual needs.

Lisa Ann employs positive reinforcement methods, including clicker training, to motivate your dog to choose to do the behaviors you like, rather than the behaviors you don’t like.  Her training philosophy is built on a clear understanding of learning theory and the most recent scientific studies of dog behavior.

Lisa Ann volunteers with Adopt a Golden Nashville.
In her free time, she also enjoys photography, writing, salsa dancing, and yoga.
